A transformational times has begun… Our university is a remarkable place. The evolution of knowledge and skills through technology is more rapid than ever before. But as talented as our faculty and staff are, we realize that students will play the largest role in their carrier into an engaged global citizen. Students will find their passion through study, carrier and personality development.
Our community is filled with people who hold high standards for themselves and others, and the University has purchased state of the art science equipment that has enabled staff and students to carry out cutting edge research. The Faculty houses labs, workshops, and incubation centre for enhancing further research in different areas to come up with new market products.
The Faculty has produced a good number of graduates, who are contributing to the economic growth and prosperity of Sri Lanka. All our programmes help students to connect to the professional bodies and the industry, enabling them to gain real-life work experience and build up network with potential employers and industry leaders. We provide a range of industrial placement of their undergraduate degree, that comprising a six-month industrial placement with 6 ECTS. All our programmes cover four academic years with a minimum of 120 ECTS and the programmes are recognized under the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sri Lanka.
Our graduates and academic staff engaged in their PG studies at local and overseas universities (Australia, Canada, China, New Zealand and Uzbekistan). It is evident that our graduates have received a wide variety of opportunities through the years of study and training at Faculty of Technology.
It is an honour to serve as the Dean of this esteemed faculty and to work with such an outstanding team of talented colleagues and students. I invite you to consider choosing your programme of interest from our Faculty of Technology. Together, we contribute to the advancement of science and technology in this challenging and innovative world.
